What’s the difference between Hosting and WordPress Hosting?

Hosting ($19.99/mo) gives you hosting space — you install and manage your own WordPress (or any other PHP site) and handle updates, security, and any site-level issues yourself. WordPress Hosting ($29.99/mo) is fully managed: we install WordPress for you, handle every update, monitor security, and give you a site dashboard inside your 978host account with one-click login to wp-admin.

Do I have to pay monthly for the websites you build?

No — development packages are a one-time fee. Hosting is a separate recurring service that you can opt into if you want us to host the site too. You’re free to host the finished site anywhere.

What payment methods do you accept?

We invoice through Stripe and accept all major credit cards, ACH bank transfers, and Apple/Google Pay. Larger projects can be paid in milestones (typically 50% to start, 50% at launch) — just contact us to set that up.

Can I cancel my hosting any time?

Yes. All hosting is month-to-month with no long-term contract. We’ll help you export your site and migrate to another host whenever you need to.

Do you migrate existing websites?

Free migrations to either of our hosting plans from any host. We handle the file transfer, database, DNS cutover, SSL re-issue, and post-migration testing — typically zero downtime.

What about updates and ongoing maintenance?

Updates and maintenance are included automatically in WordPress Hosting ($29.99/mo). With the basic Hosting plan ($19.99/mo) you handle your own updates. For larger sites that need more hands-on support, get in touch and we’ll put together a custom retainer.
